生活英语口语：“和面、揉面团”用英语怎么说？

我们的英语就是要“学以致用”，“学了就要用”。怎样才能“学以致用”？

首先我说一句可能让你费解的话：

有一种情况，你之所以不会“说”英语，恰恰是因为你“不懂”中文。

比如，“闷骚”“不会用英语说”？

关键的是：我“不懂”那个英语词，可是我却会用我知道的英语“表达”它：语言能力永远高于懂得多少英语单词。

这正是我们需要练就的英语能力，不是“见过”，或“记住”多少英语单词。

我不知道，生活在美国的朋友，他们也有完全对等的“闷骚”一说吗？我用The guy is like deep water that runs still与你沟通，如果你明白我意思，一定“告诉”我它是什么，然后我不就“习得”的吗？

最怕的是你学英语已久，却依然没练就“沟通”能力，永远只能“吃现成”。这是学英语最可怕的结果，犹如飞机坠落进入“螺旋坠落”状态，结局只有万劫不复。

每日一句英译英：“水槽堵了”用英语怎么说？

我经常有一句话，叫“为什么我们的英语学了十年八年却依然处在或停留在'英语食物链'的最低端最末端？”

就是因为我们多年的英语教育不是训练学生“英语沟通能力”，而是教人“只有正确答案才能说英语”的死记硬背“能力”，以为到了美国，只有跟人说“地道”英语才能与人交流沟通。

这甚至可以说是因为没有到过美国的原因所致。

真正到了美国，你是不需要首先考虑你说的英语是不是“地道不地道”的，你需要的是“能否沟通”即可。“地道不地道”，先解决“沟通”能力，跟对方习得后再学再说不迟。

比如：英语“水槽堵了”怎么表达(不光是问你“哪个地道英语是什么)？

你“不知道”哪个“地道”英语，但是，我肯定你一定有“沟通”能力：因为你有water,bathroom,kitchen,go off,go away等等“英语储备”，它们就是你先“绕开“哪个我们的英语教学教育时时盯着的“地道”英语的英语沟通能力交流能力”的“本钱”：

1. Excuse me,but the water in my bathroom dosen't go off/go away.

这不一定是所谓的“地道”英语，但是，是“沟通能力”吗？

再“逼格”(big word)一点：

2.Excuse me,Front Desk.The water in my (bathroom)sink doesn't drain(drain就是go off呀！)

“正宗”教育的“地道”英语：只有“唯一”答案才能“开口”：

3.The sink is blocked/clogged= The water doesn't drain.

在“正宗”“地道”英语教育思维下，不会说“正宗地道”英语The sink is blocked/clogged=The water doesn't drain，你在美国你“会死”。

不会的，在国内才有可能，会被Chinese of the USA/UK world(paraphrased man of the world)“喷死”。

这就“反证”了：学英语为什么一定要训练自己“用英语学英语”？训练自己不迟于高中英语水平，3500左右高中英语必备词汇，外加高中左右基础英语语法，就可以开始考虑转向“用英语学英语”思维、习惯和能力训练。

因为你的“英语沟通能力”，而非“正宗地道”英语就是从“用英语学英语”获得的：

1.地道：The sink is blocked/clogged=The water doesn't drain不是中文“下水道堵了”，是英语What does it mean when we say The sink is blocked/ clogged =The water doesn't drain?

2.沟通能力训练：英译英

——Okay.I got you.The sink is blocked,or is clogged means The water doesn't drain.

你用“哪句话”与对方沟通，对方都能明白你“说的是同一件事情”。

这就是“沟通能力”，而非“地道”英语“才能说”的英语学习。

也就是说，你真的有机会在美国跟人说这样的事情时，你至少具备“两条沟通方式”：
